Terms & Conditions

These terms govern any purchase made through the Keep It Clean Chemicals website ("we", "us", "KIC"). By placing an order, you agree to them.

Orders & pricing

• All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude courier shipping unless stated otherwise.
• Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout based on the total weight of your order — see the Shipping Policy below.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — for example if a product is out of stock, if there's a pricing error, or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel a paid order, you'll receive a full refund.

Payment

Payments are processed securely through PayFast, a licensed South African payment gateway. We do not see or store your card details — PayFast handles all payment data directly. Accepted methods include major cards, Instant EFT, and Apple Pay (where enabled).

Product use & safety

• Our products are chemical car care formulas intended for external automotive use only, applied according to the directions printed on each bottle.
• Keep all products out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin where labeled; rinse thoroughly if contact occurs.
• Some products require dilution before use — follow the mixing ratio on the label.
• We are not responsible for damage caused by product use outside of the labeled directions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, Keep It Clean Chemicals is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or this website, beyond the value of the order itself.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Shipping Policy

All orders are shipped nationwide within South Africa via Courier Guy.

Shipping rates

Shipping is calculated automatically based on the total weight of everything in your cart, combined into a single parcel:

Only R90 shipping when you buy 6 or more products (standard sizes, up to 20kg total). This offer is not available on the 5L and 25L bulk options, which are shipped at the weight-based rates above. The KIC Starter Kit also ships for a flat R90.

Orders heavier than 20kg need a custom shipping quote — if your cart exceeds this, please contact us on WhatsApp before checking out.

Dispatch & delivery times

• Orders are typically handed to Courier Guy within 1–2 business days of payment being confirmed.
• Once dispatched, delivery typically takes 2–5 business days depending on your location within South Africa.
• These timeframes are estimates provided by our courier, not guarantees — delivery can occasionally take longer due to circumstances outside our control (weather, courier delays, regional disruptions, load-shedding, public holidays, etc.).

Delivery address

You're responsible for providing an accurate, complete delivery address at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us or requires redelivery due to an incorrect or incomplete address, additional courier fees may apply before we can re-send it.

Once your order is with the courier

Lost or damaged parcels

• If your order arrives visibly damaged, please keep all packaging and notify us within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the damage and packaging.
• If your order hasn't arrived within a reasonable window past the estimated delivery time, contact us and we'll open a tracing query with Courier Guy on your behalf.
• Resolution of lost or damaged parcel claims (replacement, refund, or otherwise) is subject to the outcome of Courier Guy's own claims process for that shipment.

Returns & Refunds

Change of mind

Because our products are chemical goods intended for single use once opened, we're not able to accept returns for change-of-mind once a bottle has been opened or its seal broken, for hygiene and safety reasons. Unopened, unused products in their original packaging may be returned within 7 days of delivery — contact us first to arrange this before sending anything back.

Faulty or incorrect items

If you receive a product that's damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, we'll replace it or refund you in full. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

• Your order details
• A photo of the product and its packaging
• A brief description of the issue

Refunds

Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method via PayFast. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to reflect, depending on your bank.

Privacy

We collect the email address and delivery details you provide at checkout solely to process your order, send your invoice/confirmation, and arrange delivery. We do not sell or share your information with third parties beyond what's necessary to fulfill your order (our courier and payment processor, PayFast). We do not store your card details — PayFast handles all payment data directly under its own security and compliance standards.
